This Al Mar 3004 fixed blade knife is being offered for sale from the estate of a very particular knife collector. This knife is estimated from the first half of the 1980s - The knife is in perfect condition, with no particular scratches or signs of wear, the original factory grind is clear to see - A rare version with micarta handle and engraved bolster " De Oppresso Liber", the famous motto of the American Green Berets - The Original leather sheath is in excellent condition, accompanied by original sharpening stone. The sheath has clearly never been used or worn.
This is indeed a rare offering and is accompanied by its original packaging, down to the cardboard blade cover and even the original bag.
The Al Mar 3004 was manufactured in Seki - Japan. Full tang blade created from AUS 8 Steel, with brown Micarta handle scales. The blade has an overall length of 148 mm and is 4mm thick.The overall length is 265 mm.
A great knife of some heritage.
